About Liquid Lifeline
• Who We Are
We are a team of passionate high school students in the South Florida area concerned with water as a whole: its conservation, its pollution, and its protection.
• Our Mission
In our community, we have observed the neglect of our waterways and oceans/beachfronts, and want to do our part to right these wrongs. We're focusing on the pollution in the waterways around us, and could really use your help to make a difference!
Liquid Lifeline is a team of dedicated South Florida high school students working to protect and restore our waterways and beaches. Through hands-on efforts like beach cleanups, chess tournaments, and "Walks for Water," we aim to raise awareness and inspire action in our community. Together, we strive for a future where our water is clean, our environment is respected, and everyone plays a part in preserving these vital resources.
Beach Cleanups
We host cleanups of the waters on local South Floridian beaches, with small buy-ins dedicated towards running the event and future events, and providing a great outlet to 'get our hands dirty' and get trash out of our oceans.
Walks for Water
"Walks for Water" are events designed to raise awareness about the global water crisis and the challenges faced by communities that lack access to clean drinking water. Participants symbolically walk a set distance, often carrying water, to represent the journey millions of people—particularly women and children—make daily to fetch water from distant or unsafe sources.
Chess Tournaments
Liquid Lifeline runs monthly chess tournaments, with a small entry fee and half of the total pot going towards fighting South Floridian water pollution -- it's a great opportunity to have fun, save our waters, and potentially take home a little reward!
Raising Awareness
By educating communities and local South Floridian schools and supporting clean water initiatives, we aim to empower individuals and foster a healthier future for all.
